Carlos Silva-Cárdenas is a Full Professor at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP), where he serves as Director of Research Management and leads the Microelectronics Research Group, which he founded. He holds a Ph.D. in Engineering from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and previously directed PUCP’s Master’s Program in Telecommunications Engineering from 2010 to 2021. An active leader within the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society (CASS), Dr. Silva-Cárdenas serves on the Board of Governors as an R9 Regional Member-at-Large, contributes to the Education Committee and the Regional Activities & Membership Division, and is a member of the Special Interest Group on IoT. His research focuses on integrated circuit digital design, energy harvesting, microelectronics, and wireless sensor networks. Through his extensive academic, administrative, and IEEE leadership roles, he continues to advance engineering education, research management, and microelectronics development across Latin America and the global IEEE community.
