Evelyn Córdova

Advisor for Foreign Direct Investment Attraction, ProGuatemala

Evelyn Córdova is an architect with a Master’s degree in Risk Reduction Management, graduated from the University of San Carlos of Guatemala, with studies in Comprehensive Risk and Disaster Management at the University of Manizales, Colombia. She has completed postgraduate studies in Environment and Sustainability, as well as Political Science, Strategic Planning, and a specialization in Complex Project Management from Cambridge/Judge Business School.

She served as coordinator for the design of Territorial Competitiveness Strategies in the National Competitiveness Program and as Technical Project Manager at the Municipal Development Institute. She has worked as a consultant for organizations such as GIZ, The Nature Conservancy (TNC), Segeplan, Comune di Pontedera/Medina-European Union Association, focusing on territorial economic development and strategic planning.

She coordinated the planning of Economic Corridors and was an Investment Intelligence Advisor for the USAID-funded Creating Economic Opportunities Project in collaboration with the Foundation for the Development of Guatemala.

Currently, she is an advisor for foreign direct investment attraction at ProGuatemala, the National Investment Attraction Agency of the Ministry of Economy, which leads the Chip Route initiative as part of the National Strategy for Foreign Direct Investment Attraction.
