Dr. Victor Grimblatt holds a Ph.D. in Electronics from the University of Bordeaux and a degree in Electronic Engineering from the Federico Santa Maria Technical University. He currently serves as Director of the R+D Group and General Manager of Synopsys Chile. At IEEE, he is president of the joint Chilean chapter EDS/SSCS/CASS and a member of the IEEE CASS Board of Governors (2021-2023). He founded and chairs the Electronics for Agrifood GIS working group at CASS and was recognized as an IEEE R9 Outstanding Engineer in 2023. His research areas focus on electronic design automation (EDA), IoT, climate change and smart agriculture.
