About IEEE LACSS
On 1-2 October, IEEE Region 9, the IEEE Panama Section, and IEEE-USA will host the second IEEE Latin America & the Caribbean Semiconductor Summit (LACSS) in Panama City, Panama. This event will focus on semiconductors as a catalyst for economic growth and innovation across Latin America and the Caribbean.
Bringing together academia, government, and industry in a neutral space, the summit fosters collaboration, giving the opportunity to the different parties to not only share knowledge, but also develop strategic partnerships that will lead to build a more connected, resilient, and competitive innovation ecosystem across Latin America and the Caribbean.
The inaugural LACSS was held in Bogota, Columbia on 26 September 2025, and was the first IWRC summit held outside the United States.
This event will give you an opportunity to meet potential partners from government and learn more about how you can contribute to the Latin American and Caribbean innovation ecosystem.
About IEEE-USA IWRC
IEEE-USA Innovation, Workforce, and Research Conferences (IWRC) bring together stakeholders from industry, government, and academia to meet, learn, talk, and discuss government programs that promote innovation and small business in EPSCoR (Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research) states. IWRC events provide opportunities to meet potential partners from the U.S. federal agencies and learn more about how stakeholders can contribute to their region’s innovation ecosystem.
Since the program’s inception in late 2023, IEEE-USA and its local partners, have hosted four successful IWRC Conferences in the south, midwest and northeast United States.
